He was predeceased by: his wife Bertha; his children, Robert Jr., Roberta Rose, Glen William and Glenna Lynn; and his brother-in-law Gerald McKay.

He is survived by: his sister Janet Pearl McKay; and his nieces, Charlotte Chambers, Corine Flear and Yolanda McKay. He is also survived by 3 great nieces, 3 great nephews, 4 great great nephews and one great great niece.
