He was predeceased by: his parents, Eva Chalifour and Gédéon Chalifour; his sister Simone; his great-niece Nicole Rempel; and his parents-in-law, Yvette Schmaltz, Roger Hudon, Alphonse Trépanier and Adrienne Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Claire Thibault; his children, Paul (Jim Scavone), Denis (Pat Shier), Colette (Michael Hall), Adèle (John Scott) and Gisèle (Adrian Poirier); and his sisters, Léa, Rita and Aline (Phil Marion). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends.
