He was predeceased by: his mother Agnes Afseth; his wife Noreen Afseth; and his brothers, Glen, Brian (Geraldine) and Vern Afseth.
He is survived by: his children, Cindy Bergoch (Keith) and Jeff Afseth (Niki); his grandchildren, Jenelle Ganchar, Cody Ganchar (Mary), Kalista Afseth and Breanna Afseth; his great grandchildren, Lennon and Nora Ganchar; and his siblings, Helen Johnson, Richard Afseth (Isobel), Gail Afseth and Boyd Henderson (Irene). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
