She was predeceased by: her husband Art Coates; her son Gordon; her great grandchild Ethan; her brother Oscar (Shirley); Bob and Edna (Roy).

She is survived by: her children, Bernice (Darrell), Bruce (Leigh) and Jean (Jim); and her grandchildren, Stephanie, Kristen, Brenden, Heather, Jaime, Joni, Krista, Brody, Jeremy and Jessica. She is also survived by 25 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson, and 7 nieces and nephews.
