We are sad to announce that on March 15, 2019, at the age of 82, Verlee Bate (Saskatoon, Saskatchewan), born in Young, Saskatchewan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Lund and Frances Lund; her stepmother Edna Lund; her former husbands, Roy Ziefflie and Bill Bate; and her son David Ziefflie.

She is survived by: her siblings, Elaine Reich (Norbert) and Perry Lund (Ardene); her children, Lee Ward (Jordan), Tim Ziefflie (Mary), Jille Ziefflie and Scott Ziefflie; and her grandchildren, Dan Ward (Becky), Paul Ward, Corey Ward (Joelyn), Rebecca Ward, Brook Byrns (Kathrina), Alyssa Byrns (Dave), Mackenzie Byrns (Ryan), Jessika Agioritis (Alex) and Karissa Ziefflie. She is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces.
