He was predeceased by: his wife Sandy Hagele; his parents, Louis Hagele and Ruth Hagele; his brother Bernard Hagele; his parents-in-law, Marjorie and Walter Danley; and his siblings-in-law, Betty Hagele and Philip Tock.

He is survived by: his children, Eric Hagele (Barb) and Michelle Scherman (Trevor); his grandchildren, Carmen, Dustin Hagele, Levi and Hayley Scherman; and his sister-in-law Babetta Tock.
