He is survived by: his wife Mary Smolinski; his children, Mel (Karen), Merv (Jocelyn), Matthew (Trina) and Marlene Pillay (Simon); his grandchildren, Brent, Kurt (Molly Glass), Kyle (Helaina), Rachell, Alex (Erin McTavish), Stephen Pillay and Katherine Pillay; his sister Marian Kobzey (Michael); his siblings-in-law, Eugene Smolinski (Gloria) and Iris Smolinski; and the mother of his children Mary Zurevinsky. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
