It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wilson Bird in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, born in Montreal Lake, Saskatchewan, who passed away on January 17, 2021, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his wife Victoria Marjorie Bird; his parents, John Z. Bird and Lydia Bird; his grandparents, Simon and Rosie A. Bird; his aunts and uncles, Jimmy D. (Violet Bird), Cecil (Eva Bird), Nicko (Cathy Bird) and Edgar Bird; his adoptive son Darryl Luke Merasty A. K. A; his parents-in-law, Bibiane and Edward C. Bear; and his sister Mable Bird.

He is survived by : his children, Sheri Bird (Keenan), Wilson Bird Jr. (Myrna) and Tony Bird Sr. (Emma Ray); his grandchildren, Justin R. D. Bird (Brittany), Shannon Bird (Marie Whitehead), Felicia Bird, Elizabeth (Jason Sturgeon), Wilson F. Bird, Sonqiue D. Bird, Autumn Raine Bird, Taniel Bird, Tionne Bird, Tayla Bird, Antonio, Tony Bird Jr., Brooklyn Bird, Marc Bird, Kailee Bird, Richard Bird, Brihanna Bird, Victoria Bird, Zuri Bird, Ella Bird and Dagen Caribou; his godson Rudy Daylight Jr.; his siblings, Virginia Bird, Kenny Bird, Thompson Z. Bird and Billy Bird (Betsy); and his close friend Billy Linklater. He is also survived by his 19 great-great-grandchildren.
