Zara Gurstein Obituary
In loving memory of Zara Gurstein (Saskatoon, Saskatchewan), who departed this world on January 26, 2026 at the age of 109. Zara leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Morris Gurstein; her sons-in-law, Marvin Goldenberg and Danny Bercovitch; and her sisters, Naomi Lyman and Gertrude Wippman.
She is survived by: her children, Mimi Goldenberg Bercovitch and Matthew Gurstein; her grandchildren, Francine Goldenberg (Gary Glassman), Mark Goldenberg (Marla Karpman) and Lara Goldenberg; and her great grandchildren, Kimberly, Scott, Evan, Jillian and Isaac. She is also survived by her family, friends.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 28th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Jewish Community Centre. A burial was held on Wednesday, January 28th 2026 at the Agudas Israel Cemetery.
