He was predeceased by : his parents, Alan Smith and Marie Smith; and his siblings, Frank, Vicki, Marjorie and Sonja.

He is survived by : his siblings, Marilyne Smith (Monti Maxwell) and Bonnie Daisley (Barry); his sister-in-law Violet Smith; and his spouse Teresa Ell. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
