He was predeceased by: his wife Joey; his son Darrel (Heather); his grandson Calvin; his parents, Helmer and Julia; and his siblings, Harold, Verner, Dale, Viola, Vera and Laurine.

He is survived by: his child Lorre; his grandchildren, Ryan, Laurie-Jo and Kyle; his child Jerry (Bernice); his grandchildren, Gerri Lynn, Kimberley, Joshua (Dyan), Kayla (Dayten), Karla, Devin (Ashley), Jessica, Nicole (Justin) and Jordan (Max); his daughter Julie; his grandchildren, Sunni, Brenna, Cory and Erin (Rick); his son Eric (Sharleen); his grandchildren, Sabrina (Ken) and Darcy (Erin); his son Brad; his granddaughter Emma (Cody); his sister-in-law Sylvia Fitzgerald; and his close friend Doris Odegard.
