It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Peter Joseph Ahtehkamake in Shellbrook, Saskatchewan, who passed away on January 6, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Mariah Sakâw and George Whitefish (Lucy); his grandparents, Modest Whitefish and Jesse Turner; his brothers, Edward, Andrew, Modest, Donald, Harvey and Raymond; and his grandchildren, Myron Whitefish, Sgt. Darby Morin, Pamela Whitefish, Candace Whitefish and William Rabbitskin.
He is survived by: his wife Albertine Ahtehkamake; his parents-in-law, Yvonne Harper and Adolphus Pahtayken (Josephine); his brothers-in-law, Leonard Pahtayken and Miles Dillon; and his adoptive son Vernon Harper.
