He was predeceased by: his former wife Wilma Armstrong; his parents, Peter Meetoos and Wilma Meetoos; and his siblings, Dennis, Darryl, Valerie, Maryanne, Kenward, Lawrence, Rose, Bert, Florence and Nancy Meetoos.
He is survived by: his children, Valerie Meetoos, Kristopher Meetoos, Tanis Meetoos (Braden), Creeson Meetoos (Kerra), Henry Meetoos, Jasmine Meetoos (Sage) and Kelden Meetoos; the mothers of children, Laurie Meetoos and Harmony Wapass; his grandchildren, Marcus, Reginald, Haven, Keelyn, Aubree, Haisley and Apollo; his sister Katherine; his pets, Audrey Tootoosis (Gavin), Edward Meetoos (Lydia) and Marvis Meetoos (Pam); and his sibling's children, Alexandra Weekusk, Geraldine Wapass, Louanne Meetoos (Sam), Kelvin Meetoos, Jason Meetoos and Derrick Meetoos.
A wake was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Chief James Okanee Memorial Centre. A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
