He was predeceased by: his mother Elfriede. He is survived by: his wife Laurie; his children, Ron Matthes and Jennifer Matthes (Ian Gold); his brothers, Edwin Matthes and Gordon Matthes; and his siblings' children, Jeremy and Danielle.
