He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Ewert and Sarah Ewert (Fehr); his sister Elaine Ginter; his aunt Katherine Fehr; and his parents-in-law, Wes and Doris Moore.

He is survived by: his wife Noreen Moore; his sons, Rob (Korinna) and Ed (Lori); his sister Christine Sowden (Jim); and his siblings-in-law, Marj DenHoed (John) and Ken Moore (Pat). He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
