He was predeceased by : his father Christoforatos; his stepfather Nels Petersen; his brother Michael Christoforatos; his stepbrother Clifford Petersen; his mother Audrey Petersen; his uncle Phil; his aunt Sheila Walt; and his daughter Kelly Otto.

He is survived by : his son Kevin Otto; his nieces, Sherry Koftinoff (Christoforatos) and Michelle Takushi (Christoforatos); and his caregivers, Becky Watson, Shelby Dzaman, Melissa Fitzpatrick, W. Smith Insurance, Morris Froslie, Chance Chickoski, Daniel Arendt, Jackie Warren-Hunter, Jane Hughes, Elizabeth Myhre, Shannon Runcie and Realty. He is also survived by nephews, along with friends.

In place of flowers, memorial donations can be given to the Swift Current SPCA.
