He was predeceased by: his daughter Tracey Wynne Derkach; and his siblings, Greg Derkach, Irene and Pearl. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Dyck; his son Trevor Derkach (Adele); his sister Doris Onishko; his grandchildren, Cody Derkach (Shalene) and Brittany Cramer (Zach); and his great grandchildren, Lily Derkach, Aubrey Derkach and Beckham Cramer.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 22nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Woodlawn Cemetery (1502 2nd Ave N, Saskatoon, SK S7K2G1). A celebration of life was held on Monday, April 27th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the First United Church (223 3 Ave NE, Swift Current, SK S9H2G6).
In lieu of flowers, donations in Wally's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
