He was predeceased by : his parents, Jean Hardie and Charles Hardie; his brothers, Blaine and Donald; his uncle Dickson; his in-laws, Ernest and Louise Meechem; and his aunt Olive Tulloch.

He is survived by : his wife Judie Meachem (Judie); and his children, James (Janelle), Amanda (Rick) and Jeremy (Dominique).
