It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Dengler of Watrous, Saskatchewan, who passed away on January 16, 2023, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Anna Dengler and William Dengler; his son Bradley; and his siblings-in-law, Joseph and Barbara Volk.

He is survived by : his wife Bernice Volk; his sons, Due, Rick (Colette) and Keith (Lee Anne); his grandchildren, Shannon Barfield (Brent), Amy Shout (Evan), Allan Dengler (Jess), Kenny Dengler (Alex) and Jesse Dengler (Brayelle); his stepgrandchildren, Justin Peevers (Jessica) and Shea Hill (Luke); his brother Donald Dengler (Maureen); and his brothers-in-law, John Volk (Lori) and Arnold Volk (Leane).

Andy Senger wrote a sympathy message

“Our deepest sympathy to you Bernice and your family. Such a good memory we have of Richard was when he portrayed Grandfather Volk along with Linda Jacek as Grandmother. That was awesome and everyone loved the performance. Such a good sport to do that at our Volk reunion. That will never be forgotten and I’m sure many will have good memories of Richard that will be remembered fondly. He will be missed by many. RIP Richard. Ed and Andelina Senger”
