He was predeceased by : his brothers, Bob (Dolly) and Jack; and his in-laws, Murray Montague and Bill Riach. He is survived by : his wife Betty; his children, Anita Wiens (Jim), Greg Howat (Denise) and Ron Howat (Susan); his grandchildren, Clint Wiens, Tracy Toman (Rick), Joel, Ashlyn, Callie, Tyson, Courtney Thomson (Derek), Briar, Kasen, Piper, Kayla Holman (Brady), Owen, Veronica Howat, Sammi and Hayden; his siblings, Doreen Riach and Don Howat; and his in-laws, Peggy Montague, Earl Meikle (Beth), Lois Chalmers (Kurt) and Jim Meikle (Cindy). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
