He was predeceased by: his father James McFarlane; his brother David McFarlane; and his great-niece Taelynn Blackburn. He is survived by: his mother Joan McFarlane; his children, Connie Ellis (Ben, family: Taylor Graham, Jewel Graham, Memory Meyers, Rachel Joice), Cory McFarlane (Amber, family: Mercedes), Monique Roy (Kevin, family: Mason, Logan), Jessica McFarlane (family: Emily, Dominic) and Phoebe McFarlane (Scott Irwin, family: Luella, Liam); his siblings, Laurie Chinski (Frank), Cindy Swanson (Clint) and Cheryl Sellsted (Don); and his sister-in-law Diana McFarlane Smood. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Monday, January 12th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the All Saint's Anglican Church (239 3rd St NE, Weyburn, SK S4H0W5).
