He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Kaip and Kathleen Kaip; his siblings, Joseph Kaip and Vera Jmaeff; his brother-in-law Andy Jmaeff; his sister Clara Drouin; and his brothers-in-law, Morley Ferguson and Ray Harris.

He is survived by: his sister-in-law Carol Kaip (Joseph); and his sisters, Phyllis, Elsie Ferguson (Morley), Ethel and Isabelle Harris (Ray). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, RCMP colleagues and many friends.
