He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Nelson and Mildred Nelson (Broad); his cousin John Nelson; and his father-in-law Bill McCosh. He is survived by: his wife Susan Nelson; his children, Hilary Nelson (Paul), Mallory Nelson (Peter), Spencer Nelson (Rhiannon), Forrest, Robert Nelson, Alana Robson (Kim) and Holden; his sisters, Brenda Metheral (Rick), Shirley Nelson and Noella Leydon (Mike); his mother-in-law Bernice McCosh; his siblings-in-law, Doug McCosh (Simone), Robert McCosh (Ruth) and Mavis Peters (Rick); and his cousins, Flora Nelson and Louise Levesque (Armand).
