She was predeceased by : her parents, Samuel Ferris and Helen Ferris; her husband Roland Lavender; and her siblings, Mahommed (Violet), Samuel (Inez), Jack (Elizabeth), Alick (Viola) and Libha (Jack).

She is survived by : her nieces, Cheryl Ann (Stewart) and Willa (Jim); and her nephew Sam (Pam). She is also survived by her great nieces and nephews; as well as her great-great nieces and nephews.
