Norman August Flaten Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Norman August Flaten of Weyburn, Saskatchewan, who passed away on December 16, 2022, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Vie; his parents, Nels Flaten and Svea Flaten; his brothers, Delbert and Glenn; and his grandson David Flaten.

He is survived by: his children, Aileen Flaten (Bernie Mazurik), Pat Flaten, Don Flaten (Tanis Minish) and Brent Flaten (Carol); his grandchildren, Matt Mazurik, Rochelle Yelland, Svea, Kathrina Mazurik (Brook Byrns), Anna Mazurik (David Cohen), Nels Flaten, Nathaniel Flaten, Erica Flaten and Nicole Flaten; his sisters, Audrey Wilson and Bev (Don Hansen); his sisters-in-law, Doris Flaten and Shirley Flaten; and his family, Aileen, Don, Brent and Pat. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Norm may be sent to the Weyburn Agricultural Society, Weyburn & District Hospital Foundation, Alzheimer Society of Saskatchewan, or another charity of your choice.
