He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Thompson and Hazel Thompson; his parents-in-law, Hedley and Florence Giblett; his wife Betty Thompson; his daughter Donna; his son-in-law Brian Hicks; his brother Gordon; his sister-in-law Elva Bruce; his sister Viola; his brothers-in-law, Mervin Forseth and William Giblett; his brother Bob; and his sister-in-law Cheryl Giblett.

He is survived by: his daughters, Brenda Thompson (Dean Kaytor) of Regina, SK and Joy Snelling (Chris) of Bengough, SK; his grandchildren, Shaun Snelling (Abby) and Harper; his daughter Amber Verhaeghe (Chris) of Bengough, SK; and his grandchildren, Mason, Emmett, Natasha and Lanna (Tyler). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews & friends.
