It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Russell Everett Torkelson of Weyburn, Saskatchewan, who passed away on June 29, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Torkelson and Gladys Torkelson; his in-laws, Jim and Pat Gullett; and his brothers-in-law, Eric Klee and Bill Gullett.

He is survived by: his wife Sharon Torkelson of Weyburn, SK; his son Toby Torkelson (Shannon Hein) of Warman, SK; his grandchildren, Grayson, Holden and Emerson; his daughter Tracey Holzer (Sabe) of Torquay, SK; his grandchildren, Aidan, Zachary, Terran and Emma; his daughter Tana Torkelson of Weyburn, SK; his grandchild Merrick (Sierra); his brothers, Terry Torkelson (Heather) and Kirk Torkelson (Ila); his sisters-in-law, Mary Klee and Jane McGinty (Jim); and his close friend Clifford "Kip" Mathers. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
