He was predeceased by: his wife Doreen McIvor; his parents, William Mabee and Margaret Mabee Hall; his brothers, Mel and Glenn Mabee; his grandsons, Michael Mabee and Troy Mabee-Bakken; and his great grandchild Mitchell Mabee O'dell.

He is survived by: his children, Wayne Mabee (Deanna) of Weyburn, SK, Dale Mabee (Penny) of Calgary, AB and Janice Bakken (Colen) of Weyburn, SK; his grandchildren, Scott Mabee, Sonja Mabee-Picard, Shawn Mabee, Ashley Bakken (Dirk), Marshall Bakken (Amanda), Melissa Mabee, Kayla Mabee and Trent Mabee; his siblings, Allan Mabee (Phyllis) and Lynette Paarup (Norm); and his close friends, Wally, Sherlane Reutlinger, Gordon and Joanne Hofstede of Kamloops, BC..
