He was predeceased by : his parents, Roy Briggs and Iverine Briggs; his grandson Matthew; his parents-in-law, Louie and Alvina Ikert; his brothers, Ivan, Ted and Herb Briggs; his siblings-in-law, Irene Briggs, Gerry Brabant, Joe, George and John Ikert; and his nephew Jason Csada.
He is survived by : his wife Vickie; his children, Becky Ashton (Kim), Shirley Berthelet (Lawrence), Trent Briggs and Mark Briggs (Stephanie); his grandchildren, Frank Berthelet, Josée Thorarinsson (Bryton), Claire Schentag (Koltyn), Rachel Berthelet, Remi Berthelet, Megan Caplette, Dustin Caplette, Danielle Laxdal (Nathan), Bobbi Jo Briggs of Phyllicia, JR, Luke and Bronwynn Briggs; his great grandchildren, Brooke Minty, Blake, Oliver Laxdal and Ashton Lagler; and his siblings, Dennis, Gloria Schenstead (Garry) and Joy Newman. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
