Dale N wrote a sympathy message

“My condolences to Mrs. Lois Weber and family on the passing of Mr. Ed Weber. He was my teacher from Grade 7 through high school. When I was fooling around in class, he set me straight. But he did much more in helping with Air Cadets, coaching school hockey and baseball teams. I wasn't too adept at the tonette in Music class but not because of his teaching. I understand he was a very good musician. May his memories continue.”

Kenneth Robson wrote a sympathy message

“I am sad to say goodbye to Ed ... thank you to Lois for keeping Ed healthy as long as you did! I remember well when he was one of the Wilkie Outlaws hockey team playing with his brother Rudy. Also as a "no nonsense teacher" and vice principal (& later principal) at McLurg. To me Ed was a great musician who sounded and even looked a bit like Frank Sinatra when he sang. He helped celebrate our father's 90th birthday by reuniting the old orchestra with Neville Robson and Norman. Hallgrimson.”
