She was predeceased by: her parents, Michael Hrehorak and Mary Hrehorak; her husband Walter Ukrainetz; her sister Joyce; her brother-in-law Allan Spelay; her niece Cindy Spelay; her siblings, Ed, Carol and Ellen; her brother-in-law Peter Pitura; her nephew Kevin Spelay; her siblings-in-law, Ed, Isabel, Stan, Harriette, Walter Fedak and Verna Choboter; her niece Patricia Ukrainetz; and also, Karl, Gena Ukrainetz and Steve Honeywich.

She is survived by: her daughter Charmaine Mehling (Al); her grandchildren, Sara (Steve), Ashley (Dakota) and Amber; her daughter Colette Karapita (Ralph); her grandchildren, Nicole, Melissa (Michael), Michael and Mitchell; her sons, Robert and Justin; and her siblings-in-law, Gloria Kowalchuk, Betty Fedak, Joan Ukrainetz, Victor (Carol), Yvette, Ivan Choboter, Hank (Laureen), Blanche White, Gerry (Henrietta), Tim and Larry (Betty).

Memorial donations in memory of Sylvia may be made to the St. Mary's Church Building Fund as gifts of remembrance.
