He was predeceased by: his parents, Angela Petrychyn "Petryszyn" and Stephen Petrychyn; his siblings, Nicholas Petrychyn, Micheal Petrychyn (Jean), Mary Powel (Francis), Joseph Petrychyn, Johnny Petrychyn, John Petrychyn, Stephan Petrychyn, Peter Petrychyn and Ann Stringer (Lester); and his brother-in-law Tom Zaplachinski.

He is survived by: his wife Heike Schneemann; his children, Sharon Petrychyn, Susan Campbell (Jerrold Brown) and David Petrychyn (Tammy); his grandchildren, Andrew Cassandra (Jackie), Dustin, Lisa (Skyler), Alexis (Dillon), Logan, Austin (Jasmine), Ashton (Taylor) and Ayden; his great grandchildren, Adalyn, Kyler, Jasper and Westyn; his siblings, JoAnne Zaplachinski and Marrion Petrychyn (Fran); and his sisters-in-law, Margaret Petrychyn and Betty Petrychyn. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends.
