“So hard to read that Charlie has gone to his Eternal rest much too soon. As someone who danced to his wonderful music so many times it is hard to accept the fact that I danced to his wonderful music the last time at the Rouleau Polka Fest in August 2017 and had a chance to catch up on each other’s lives. Rather ironical that he passed just after the Polka Fest in 2018. Equally ironical that I was going to contact him to see if he (they) would be interested in playing for our dance club in Saskatoon. When I searched his name, the result was to find that I will have to be an Angel to dance to his music again and I am so sorry to read that. On behalf of anyone that danced to his music and enjoyed his terrific personality and the addition and inspiration he was to any band he played with, I want to extend my sincere condolences. He will be missed by so many for as many different reasons. Rest In Peace, my friend. Reg Ealey Saskatoon”
