He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Akister and Annette Akister of Tuberose, SK.. He is survived by: his wife Stella; his children, Judy Englot (Darrell) and Jeff Akister (Vanessa); his granddaughter Deanna Wolanski (Stephan); his great grandchildren, Makale and Kaydence; and his siblings, Richard Akister (Shirley), Pamela Richardson (Dale), Wayne Akister (Kelley), Lynne Akister (Murray) and Chuck Akister (Gail). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Christie's Funeral Home and Crematorium (121 Palliser Way, Yorkton, SK S3N4C6).
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada.
