It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen Smith (Yorkton, Saskatchewan), who passed away on September 3, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Helen Smith to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by : her parents, Halli Laxdal and Maria Laxdal; her brother Lawrence Laxdal; her parents-in-law, Edward and Blondina Smith; and her nieces, Heather Laxdal and Sandra Irving.
She is survived by : her sibling Chris; her granddaughter Tina; her husband Herb Smith; her son Chad Smith (Angela) of Yorkton; her granddaughter Amanda Stephenson (James); her great grandchildren, Sonny, Teddy and Lewis; her daughter Tina Parsons (Jay) of Calgary; her granddaughters, Morgan and Hailee; her daughter Tara Schuster (Kelly) of Yorkton; her grandsons, Ashton and Ryan; and her brothers, Ken Laxdal (Elsa) and Gordon Laxdal (Bernice). She is also survived by nieces and nephews, extended family, and great friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 8th 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Yorkton Memorial Gardens Family Centre. A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 9th 2023 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial donations may be made to STARS Air Ambulance Service or to Home Care for Palliative Care c/o the Saskatchewan Health Foundation as gifts of remembrance.
