He was predeceased by: his former wife Edeltraud; his wife Ruby; his parents, Harold and Nettie; and his sister Clara.

He is survived by: his daughters, Angie Konkel, Alethea Gulrud (John) and Tena Duff (Ashley); and his siblings, August (Esther), Mel (Laura), Verna Wiebe (Peter), Ben, Dave (Karin), Stan (Val), Clarence (Michelle) and Martha Breitkreuz (Bernd). He is also survived by 42 grandchildren, 2 great granddaughters, and many nieces and nephews.
