He was predeceased by: his parents, David Young and Jennie Wright; his stepfather Everett Wright; his stepbrother Roy Wright; his grandson Chad Young; his siblings, Audrey Lubemsky and Oscar Young; and his siblings-in-law, Victor Lubemsky, Arne Andersen, Glen McChesney, Don McChesney, Irvin McChesney, Cliff McChesney, Ruby McChesney, Lila McChesney and Verna McChesney.

He is survived by: his wife Fay Young; his daughter Charlene Upham (Stacy); his grandchildren, Jaynon (Brittany), Jiles (Stephanie) and Bryn (Jill); his son Daren Young (Karen); his grandchildren, Christine Petersen (Ben), Brett (Hannah), Cordell (Erika), Brendan (Miranda) and Chelte Young; his sons, Dallas Young (Susan) and Ben Young (Ben); his stepchildren, Troy Herperger and Haley Herperger; his son David Young (Shanna); his sisters, Ruth Scott (Lloyd) and Jeanette Andersen; his sisters-in-law, Joan Young, Dorothy McChesney and Eleanor McChesney; Paula Young. He is also survived by 22 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
