He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Mykytyshyn and Catherine Mykytyshyn (Trach); and his siblings, Helen and Ivan. He is survived by: his son Darcy (Loretta); his grandsons, Samuel and Nathaniel; his sons, Brent (DeAnn) and Patrick (Tracie); his grandchildren, Isabella and Halle; his brother Marcel (Sharon) of Ottawa; and his sister-in-law Violet (Irene).

Memorials in memory of Nestor may be made to the Allan Blair Cancer Clinic as gifts of remembrance.
