He was predeceased by: his parents, Steve Zahayko and Mary Zahayko (Tataryn); his son Neil Trevor; and his siblings, Rosaline, Minnie, Mike and Edward.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Shuya of Mary's Ukrainian Catholic Church; his children, Michelle, David and Cameron; and his granddaughter Annika. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
