He was predeceased by: his parents, Gottfried Schira and Emilie Schira; his former wife Hilda Kobitz; his sisters, Bertha Mehling and Pauline Schwabe; his brothers-in-law, Victor Mehling and Tom Schwabe; and his nephew Dale Schwabe.
He is survived by: his wife Dora Paley; his aunt Elsie Wegner of Yorkton; his nieces and nephews, Donna Chepil (Bill) of Okotoks, AB, Myra Surkan (Bernie) of Yorkton, Valerie Schwabe (Dale) of Regina, Clifford Mehling (Roni) of Yorkton, Ron Mehling (Karen) of Yorkton, George Mehling (Brenda) of Yorkton, Keith Schwabe (Gloria) of Regina and Kirby Schwabe (Sherri) of Regina; and his stepchildren, Shirley Engel (Robert) of Burgess Beach, Sindy Mehling (Rob) of Stornoway and Terry Paley (Susan) of Meadow Lake. He is also survived by numerous step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren; plus many grandnieces & nephews, cousins and good friends.
