She was predeceased by : her parents, Gustav Bucholtz and Edith Bucholtz; her husband Bill Melnychuk; her sister Joyce McMurtrie; her great grandchild Gabriella; and her niece Jeanne Mandzuk.

She is survived by : her children, Janet, Gary, Terry and Grant; her grandchildren, Bradley (Joelle), Kyle (Danielle), Breanne, Brodie (Simone), Katepwa, Brett (Allison), Tanner (Micheala), Regina and Bailey (Brayden); her great grandchildren, Kinlee, Lilyanna, Emerson and Theodore; and her sister-in-law Iris Flynn.
