She was predeceased by: her parents, George Serniak and Mary Serniak (Buratenski); her daughter Vivian Marie; her husband John Bodnar; her brother Arthur; and her fiancé Gary Zimmer.

She is survived by: her daughters, Corinne Norman (Richard) and Sheila Ferrier (Ed); her grandchildren, Chantel McDougall (Derek), Danielle Norman, Turner Norman (Ali) and Jasmine Ferrier (Marcus Langan); her great grandchildren, Kalynn, Hayden, Octavia, Aurora and Theodorian; and her friend Ed Mead.

Memorial donations may be made to New Horizons Seniors as gifts of remembrance.
