Violet Schappert Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Violet Schappert (Yorkton, Saskatchewan), who passed away on May 17, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband George Schappert; her parents, Gustave Andres and Alwine Andres (Sagel); her sister Elsie Love (Aden); her children, Carey Schappert (Shelley Vass), Carla Zorn, Joanne Mears and Kevin Schappert (Penny); her grandchildren, Ryan Schappert (Julie), Christopher Schappert (Cari), Charles Mears (Miranda) and Paylyn Haug (Jordan); and her great grandchildren, Owen Schappert, Lily Schappert, Camdyn Schappert, Daxton Mears, Felix Mears, Xavier Mears and Jake Haug. She was also cherished by nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations in memory of Violet may be made to the Christ Lutheran Cemetery Fund or The Lutheran Hour as gifts of remembrance.
