He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon Atkinson and Katherine Atkinson; and his brother David Atkinson. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Atkinson; his children, Michael (Teri) and Dawn (Jason); his grandchildren, Michael, Michaela, Ryan and Kassia; his great grandchild Sophia; and his sisters, Janice, Valerie (Jeremy) and Jeannie (Charlie). He is also survived by many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
