Guy Corneau Memorial
Guy Corneau, who was originally from the Saguenay, would have turned 66 on January 13.Mr. Corneau had made himself known to the general public as an author, animator and speaker.
His book Père Manquant, Fils Manqué, published in 1989, was a huge success in Quebec and internationally.
He had been diagnosed with cancer at an advanced stage 10 years ago, but had survived and fired a book called Revivre! - of his experience.
His latest book, L'amour en Guerre, published in 2015, explores love relationships by analyzing the relationships that men and women have had with their parents.
Guy Corneau had turned to the theater in recent years.
Mr. Corneau was the founder of Réseau Hommes Québec, a not-for-profit organization offering men's self-help services.
Mr. Corneau is survived by a 5-year-old son.
He was made a member of the Order of Canada in 2012.
