He was predeceased by: his parent Edith Osborne; and his sibling-in-law Jim Slater (Auckland). He is survived by: his parent Bruce Osborne; his siblings-in-law, Chris (Timaru), Gaynor, Don, Lyn (Takaka), John and Cathie; his spouse Eileen Osborne; and his children-in-law, Amy Dawson, Clifford Dawson and Tim (Tauranga). He is also survived by his 11 nieces and nephews and 10 grandchildren.
