He was predeceased by: his spouse Jean. He is survived by: his children, Carolyn, Raewyn, Kay, Richard, Mele, Ross and Daphne; his grandchildren, James, Carley, Danny, Brad, Gene, Samantha, Kirsty, Nathan, Lloyd and Alex; and his great grandchildren, Angus, Oliver, Connor and Samuel.
