He was predeceased by: his parents, Stancy Gurney of Otaua and Wallace Gurney of Otaua; and his sibling-in-law Ray Crosby. He is survived by: his siblings-in-law, Maureen Janett, Colin Janett and Margaret Gurney; his children, Kara and Rochelle; and his grandchild Maverick.
