He was predeceased by : his son Jess; and his parents, John Grannetia and Julie Puata. He is survived by : his spouse Jacqui; his sons, Sam and Tommy; his parents-in-law, Barry and Glenda Tustin; his stepparent Montha Chhean; his siblings, Annett (David), Kylee (Dan) and Chad (Bianca); and his nieces and nephews, Josh, Hazel, Māreikura, Lana, Ceira, Lucca and Anais.

In lieu of flowers, donations are greatly appreciated to Starship Hospital.
