He was loved and cherished by many people including : his spouse Janelle; his parents, Sue and Jamie; his parents-in-law, Donald and Pauline; his siblings, Jerym and Terri-Anne; his siblings-in-law, Anna and Mitch; his nieces and nephews, Isabelle, Josh, Scarlett and George; and his children, Daisy, Grace and Isabelle.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Malaghan Institute of Medical Research would be appreciated, to help fathers like Kurt be close to their family whilst undergoing pioneering immunotherapy treatments.
